Well firstly, Happy New Year everyone! Did you get everything you wanted over the festive period? If not, the artists who took part in the Combe Down Art Trail 2017 are still beavering away creating beautiful art and stories ready for a busy 2018, including this year's Trail.
The weather may a bit on the windy, cold and wet side, but while you're perusing the January sales, how about popping into the exhibition space 44AD on Abbey Street, Bath? There you'll find Jeni Wood's picture: 'Five Resolutions' as part of 44AD's '48 Hours Notice' exhibition. The exhibition is on 12-5pm until January 12th. The trick with Jeni's picture is to try to guess what those five resolutions might be... Venture into any good bookshop, and you'll discover Sally Muir's wonderful 'A Dog a Day' book crammed full of her beautiful paintings and sketches of dogs. What began as a Facebook hashtag has grown into some of the finest selection of prints of dogs around. If you don't fancy leaving the comfort of your sofa, you can buy Sally Muir's book on her website here. She'll even personalise it with a dedication!
