Q1. Hello, Madeleine! How much are you looking forward to the Combe Down Virtual Art Trail?
I’m very much looking forward to the 2020 art trail. It’s a great chance to share what has been created in the solitude of my attic studio, with a curious and interested audience. Q2. You've taken part in the past few Combe Down Art Trails. What is it about art trails you enjoy? I’ve taken part in many Bath Open Studios' art trails over several years but this will be my third year with Combe Down Art Trail. I especially enjoy the friendships made each year both with fellow exhibiting artists and with the visiting public. For the last 2 years I’ve been delighted to have a space in Sally Jefferies' house. The variety and quality of work there was amazing. Q3. What do you plan on exhibiting in the Combe Down Virtual Art Trail 2020 on Saturday 12th September? I’m planning to show work inspired by the natural world around my home. A new garden trap camera has captured the previously unknown night garden - the flash of a foxes brush, small fingers of the hedgehog and scruffy infant Magpies. Nest building is another theme. Observing nature carrying on while we all stayed at home in lockdown. And now, in September, the bats!
