Bath Open Studios, of which the Combe Down Art Trail is a part, isn't only about the individual Trails. They also hold an annual exhibitions at the Royal United Hospital's 'Art at the Heart' - which is an award winning art and design programme that stimulates healing and well-being and creates an uplifting environment for the hospital's patients, visitors and staff. Artists and makers from all five Bath Art Trails, including many of those who took part in the 2018 Combe Down Art Trail, show their works in the Central Gallery at the RUH. Paintings, prints, photographs, ceramics and mosaic are put on show and, with a third of all sales going towards the 'Art at the Heart' programme, it's a great opportunity not only to buy something unique and locally made but also to support the vital works of 'Art at the Heart'. Showing a selection in the hospital corridors is an exciting taste of the works which are created and available during the Art Trail weekends of May or September each year. The exhibition runs until the 17th January 2019.
