Continuing down Combe Road to the junction with Rock Hall Lane, is the recently refurbished historic King William IV pub: venue 7 on the Art Trail. We're grateful to Jerry, the manager, for giving over two of the pub rooms for no fewer than five artists to showcase their work. The pub will be offering refreshments and this venue has disabled access.
First up, Catherine Beale. Catherine's watercolours combine fluid application with refined detail to create exceptional portraits and landscapes.
Penny Richards mixes media and subject matter to create expressionistic paintings, from landscape to figurative.
Richard Gardiner creates impressionistic paintings of landscapes and street scenes in oils or acrylic.
Shuya Cheng is inspired by both Western and Eastern culture. She combines form with embroidery to create geometric patterns and shapes.
And finally, Valerie Rutley-Paine will be exhibiting her mix of styles from etchings to oil paintings to felt-work.
